I shot this during some testing of the D300. Active D-lighting kept the sky well exposed and very blue. Not sure how well this one will do. Everyone may not consider this heaven...

Post Challenge:
Wow, this one didn't do nearly as well as I'd hoped. Just so you know, the poles were quite intentional. I felt they were important to making the photo and title make sense. I guess I should have made them a more prominent feature of the photo.

I think it is the poles that underline the title.
In fact they appear like a penguin standing up (on rather tall legs!)

I liked this - that's the bottom line!

I doubt the ski poles are in the picture intentionally – I’d prefer this image without them.

the object in the foreground is distracting

pretty scene - the tips of the ski poles actually provide an unnecessary distraction to the shot. more of the ski poles or a skier in the frame would have worked better here

Contrast is a bit flat.

Nice photo... not much going on but not bad. I don't feel the heaven here. but as a picture, not bad :/

I think a touch more contrast and a touch less ski poles would have made this picture absolutely breathtaking... Great capture though!

Ten feet to the right would have scored a bit higher.

It really feels lonely!

if only i couldn't see the well-worn ski path, without that it would look more like solitude.
