This is a shot that was made sometime in 1971. My mom thinks the end of July or August, as I had just had surgery.

We found this in some of my dad's stuff, and i decided to restore it (as best I can, I'm definitely no brad!) and give it to my cousins in the picture.

The woman in the middle is my paternal grandmother -- Mimaw. She passed away in May, 1999 of pancreatic cancer.

On her lap are my cousin, Danette (on the left) and myself (on the right). The tall girl on the left is my older sister, Kelly, and the smaller girl on the right is my cousin, Shannon. (I've been trying all day to convince my daughter that it is NOT her -- though they do favor strongly.)

The boys, from left to right are cousin Scotty, cousin David, brother Kevin, and cousin Dale.

Just so your day will be enriched with some useless knowledge:

My brother and sisters -- Kevin, Kelly, Karma, and Kasey

Cousins -- One set is David, Dale, and Danette. Another set is Shannon and Scotty, and yet another set (not pictured here) are Landon, Lorrie, Leslie, and LeeAnn (oh yea, and Andrea -- hahah).

Old family pictures are great aren't they! I LOVE going thru old pictures, just so neat to see how much some things have changed & how other things have stayed pretty much the same. Thanks for sharing!

you've done an excellent job with your restoration and made everyone so much more visible .. must say you were an extremely cute little baby .. i'm not sure if you want any suggestions, but i'd be toning down the redness in their faces ..
after writing that bit i put it in photoshop to see ...
i hope you dont mind ..
i selectively used adjustment layers in levels to lighten it a bit, selective colour to tone down the red in their faces and colour balance to give you and danette a less pink look .. its not a perfect job, just another take & danette is a bit blotchy .. i toned down the very white dots in their eyes too and did a light touch of kodak airbrush ..
hope its ok for me to put it in here .. i would'v sent it to you in an email but i dont know your address ..

Check out your little hairdo! LOL

I think you did quite well Karma, and I bet your relatives WILL appreciate it! (Not useless info, btw. I couldn't keep Glenda's relatives straight if they were tattooed on my arm - BUT - always find it interesting when families name there children the way you've shown!)

"Mimaw"? That is what we called my Grandma. She was born in the Old Austria - Hungary, which is part of modern Germany, and emigrated to the States in 1906. She passed away 21 years ago.

By the way, nice restoration:)
