this afternoon we had to do some shopping .. this is the local michel's coffee/cake/pie/etc place .. i've been feeling very uninspired the last couple of days with photographs and processing .. this was very ordinary without 'other stuff' .. its not much better now ...
ken mad_brewer asked about the redfield/lattice composer when i was actually processing this one .. so i tried it out on a layer so i could give him the info and kept it ... i also used redfield/jama and perfectum as well ..

since caroline asked .. no this is just one photograph for a change !!! .. the piano look might just be the corrugations on the awning outside the shop or the redfield plugs ..:)

i did a similar process on this one of ali having breakfast with katee ..

right above the fruit smoothie poster, there seems to be an overlay of a keyboard shot. Am I hallucinating? Your comment doesn't mention it. i think the combination of strong, saturated colors, with the glassy/warpy filter works. The persons looks like carboard posters - they have lost all sense of "three-dimensionality", especially the man. Could be exploited in a photo essay about customer service in some big box stores...

An excellent example of "slice of life" made more dramatic with the editing. It reminds of those Richard Linklater movies, Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly.

Wonderful way to make the everyday extraordinary. I like that you used a little less distortion on this shot vs the breakfast shot. It allows the image to retain itès points of reference to the everyday.

This is a cool effect, I like how it smooths and distorts at the same time... with all the business on the right (glad the New Try Me stands out) we are forced back to the gentleman who appears Calm and Calculated. I like it.
