This evening the snow started coming down and oh how beautiful it looked/looks outside.

I have been looking forward to trying to capture some snow pictures since I really began taking pictures as a hobby earlier this year.

I ventured out into our yard after we got the girls in bed. I took some of the evergreens that line our property, the trees in the front yard and then the little evergreen shrubs that are in front of our house. I took lots of pictures but only a few turned out, I was kind of bummed. This picture is of one of our evergreen shrubs.

I like the way the green pops against the white snow. Winter is so beautiful, even if it is terribly cold out.

I can't wait to get outside tomorrow to take more pictures of the white fluffy stuff.

I really like the sparkly, glowy effect you gave to the snow.

I like how it has that soft and gentle look and yet retains so much detail.

I like the dreamy feeling this has to it -- very calm and serene as well.

There's something weirdly compelling about this that I can't place. Maybe it's the lighting? It brought out the texture of the background snow on the ground and all those sparkles.

Beautiful winter shot. I love the processing -- it made the snow look so soft. The sparkles make this shot truly magical.

Pretty soft photo. Glad it's you and not me with the snow. :o) It's going to be in the high 70's here too. This week, our heated pool is opening and I'll be able to swim! So - no snow for me!!

I like the contrast between the white and green too! Lovely composition. Think of me while you are taking your snow picture. It will be in the upper 70's here in San Antonio.
