not keen on the lighting. Compositionally, the image is a bit.. blah. Looks to me like your model (you) are a very expressive person, you should have just let some of that natural expression come across on the face, it would have done wonders for this image.

This is an interesting expression, and the necklace really adds to the photo also. Nice job. BB

Between your eyes, your hair, and your looks in general you have alot of good things to work with. i think the white background is just washing you out however.

Ah... very nice. It could be much better with two things changed. If you'd take the photo bit farther from the wall, make the shadow little bit blur, and if you'd do better post process, like contrast, and maybe noise reduction... Try and let us see after the challenge is over if you want :) Overall very nice photo though :)

Looks a lot like a snapshot. You might want to try adding more light to the room and not using flash

could use a diffuser

Pleasant portrait. It would have been even better without the shadow on the background.

The lighting is too harsh. See how it makes a hard-edged shadow?

I like the angle and the crop, nice natural looking pose and good skin tones. Good luck in the challenge.

nice eyes and face - really well done here - but the harsh shadows behind you and the harsh lighting don't really help - softer lighting would accentuate the great features you have

Your lighting is a bit harsh. This makes your features appear quite flat and creates the shadow line below your chin which doesn't add to the impact of the shot.

Nice SP. I think the light is a bit much, but I really like your composition. Nice work.

Nice eyes. The shadows behind your hair kind of blur your hair, but besides that this is a nice shot.

I like the shot and good focus. Lighting is a little harsh and the shadows on the left of your face are a little heavy. Great eyes by the way.

Lighting a bit harsh... sharp shadows on the background. If you're farther away from the background, they are lessened. Or difuse the flash.

The shadow from the flash is ruining it...
