This is just awesome, I wouldn't have thought it was an HDR.

Nice finish but you deserved a ribbon!

Multnomah Falls right? I just went there a couple nights ago to get night shots of it and got too freaked out being there by myself so I only got about 6 and none of any good quality. Nice job.

The 'not HDR' in the title seems rather superflous on two counts - 1. it doesn't look HDR, and 2. it is immediately going to get the backs up of those who do use HDR techniques from time to time.

That aside, the composition is strong, and the unsaturated processing suits the image very well. \there is an incredible amount of detail - you have done well within the 150kb limit! I would imagine this would look good as a framed enlargement.

Very mystical. I like it very much. Nicely done post process :)

Dr. A? Fairy falls? For some reason I haven't heard it called by that name.

That's a huge waterfall!

I think fro B&W to work well it needs to be opened up more , less contrast.
01/01/2008 02:24:58 PM
Stunning...
01/01/2008 01:59:18 PM
This is a great location. Did you try even longer exposures?

Why the title about no HDR? It's a lovely photo that would have stood alone. You don't hear a pilot talking about a landing (without looking) or a dentist talking about a filling (without novacaine). Give your viewers a bit more credit.

Amazing!
01/01/2008 12:52:53 AM
Wow, beautiful!!! Hope you give some details on how you accomplished this effect.

Very, very pretty. It almost has a dark, Lord of the Rings feel. I think I would have liked to see a bit more saturation in the greens and reds. It's still very beautiful though.

It's amazing that you captured the bridge with no people on it. Every time I've been to Multnomah Falls, it's been packed. Especially with all the rain we've been getting and the obvious size of the falls this year. Maybe all the tourists were too wussy for all the rain... or maybe you just cloned them out, heh.

This is beautiful but I don't think you needed to specify that it wasn't hdr. This is a fabulous location!

This is one of the coolest Multnomahs I've seen. 10
