Just cropped, contrast/brightness, unsharp mask and gaussian blur.

The colortones are nice also the setup and DOF but I cant get exicted over this one. Technically - good. Suits the challenge - dont know.

WIthout any title, just looking at the picture I would never guess this was supposed to represent conflict. It's a good shot with nice color and focus, I just don't think it suits this week's assignment.

I think you have hidden the books a little too much as it looks like the conflict never got started - the beer was never going to lose! I also have a small problem with the title - "Fat Tuesday" ???? what is this?

If the books were more visible, I think the conflict would have been more evident here.

The foreground works well. But the books are too removed and hidden to really convey the conflict theme. Nice shot nonetheless.
