 Pukeko looking out over the lake overlayed with a layer of a folded piece of scuffed paper, 2nd layer some paint I'd splathered on a bit of paper.

Texture was done with one of the dry media brushes.

Interesting result here - the texture overlay gives this image a completely fresh feel - almost out of a documentary.

I'm going to comment before looking at your comments and what I think of is looking through a scope of a gun. Love the textures and the duotone really works.

Sue - love the texturew of the overlay combining with the texture of the feathers - the only slight problem for me is that it looks like someone has trained a gunsight on the poor birds head, and now that thought is in my mind I can't get rid of it. lol.
