beautiful shot. almost looks like a photo negative. great tonal range. i really feel the emotional impact of finding something like this in the rubble of a fire. very nice work!

this image is stunning, amazing what survives a fire; like the ruins of Pompei; IMO you excel @ taking photojournalism to a deeper level...

hey I know this photo! :) it's still very good, but it is one of those (relatively rare) cases when I think it is better left in color. In the color version the contrast between the blackened sculpture and the surrounding is much more stark. JMO, of course.
