Does pollen have a texture??
Nice photo, good colours and lighting. I like the shadows in the flower. You could have sharpened the picture a little to bring out more details. |

| The very finest detail seems slightly lost - like there was just a fraction of camera shake - it may be just a function of the light almost as much as focus or shake, but it doesn't quite have the immediacy of perfect detail. The sense of the dusting of pollen on the curves of the petals is well caught however. The yellowness of that top petal, and those black striations, perhaps compete too much with the stamen for attention. |

| You spend a lot of time getting to know this beauty and came up with a fine rendition for the challenge. Colors and composition are good. Depth of field ( in my opinion for what it's worth) could have been just a bit stronger in the lower section of the image. Neverthe less, it is a strong image. |

| I like the composition on this one and I see the texture, but I think the lighting needs to be more even. This is one photo I think a small border might help also. |
