| Check one of the other entries that also used a palm...the difference is their shadows and lighting really emphasized the texture of the skin more. Also, tips of fingers out of focus...might have ben better to get some distance for more DOF and then enlarge. |

| Could have emphasised the texture more - this light is very flat. without that sense of feel, it makes for a pretty uninteresting shot I'm afraid. The sense of looming out of the dark might have been well done, but you've cropped too closely to let that impression form properly. |

| There's something about the fingers at the front I don't like. Seems to be sticking too much out at me. Think in a way that's a good thing as it's showing perspective. A wee bit sharper would bring out more lines etc in the hand. |

| I like the composition on this. Focus could be sharper to show more of the textures. Also, on my monitor it looks a little too red. You could try lowering the saturation in the Red channel, and adjusting Hue to get a more natural color, unless the redness was your intent. |

| I think the red tint here bothers me. Doesn't seem natural and my mind keeps wanting to change the color of this shot. Also the background is a little off. it's mostly black, but then near the left side middle, it has color. I'd like to see that more uniform. ~Heather~ |

| That hand looks really big in this perspective! Texture is there, but I'm not crazy about the composition. I do see the texture. |

| Would make a cool business stock photo, unfortunately don't see a lot of texture in it. Forced perspective causing fingertips to look swollen is rather distracting from the theme of the shot. |
