Congratulations on your posthumous blue...so deserving. I came back and looked at this picture at least a dozen times during voting. Guess it's time to put it in my favorites!

I feel sad for the people who didn't give this a 10. The door was open for them into a frightening beautiful universe, and they decided not to enter. The moment I looked at this photo I knew it was the Posthumous Blue Ribbon.

I'm anxious to hear about your processing. I think this is the most interesting shot of the challenge.

Interesting effect. The sky has a very odd texture but I quite like it. The eyes looking at the child is a nice touch

This is an awesome, surrealistic image. Almost reminds me of an alien invasion. Fabulous job! 10

I rather enjoy this, although the processing is bizarre at the very least, and perhaps distracts from the integrity of a fine image...

... made me think though. Still can't see why it should be made to look like it was torn out of an old magazine. Can't see why not either, mind you ...

How very intriguing! I like the "geese" shadows of the kite's tail. Looks to have been taken YEARS ago.

This is a really interesting shot... A hard sell for DPC, but with a lot of feeling. I think the dodging halos around the smaller two kites detracts a touch, but I like the gritty feel.

Very interesting feel to the shot, maybe a bit overdone, but still a neat job with the editing, 7

You have created a fantastic effect here. It looks like an old postcard that you might find at the back of the attic

I love the indistictivity of the person in shot (although I am guessing it may not be to everyones tastes)

I may have almost prefered this without the kites which may have given in a real scary sense of dislocation

Still a lovely shot though
