| I think there's the background is too busy and the light is too harsh. Find a more interesting angle and shoot at better light (e.g. dawn or dusk would be better), or use a diffuser to soften the harsh light/shadows. |

| Texture is definitely there, colors are interesting - but the image isn't very appealing to me - I think because of the flakey white stuff - can't tell if it's a fungus or what, but it kind of ruins it for me. |

| Light seems quite harsh, though the angle of it has produced a good impression of texture here. Rather messy - why are almost all cactus photos so ugly? - but excellent on the vivid colours. Lacks interest in the composition - just an illustrative shot of a cactus leaf, really, albeit one that does display texture to some extent. |

| Great colors and texture. A cactus of some kind, but do you know what kind? Might have preferred this from a slightly different angel so that the blue sky wasn't in just one corner. Nicely done, however. |
