Another attempt at light painting. Only problem is that this attempt was rushed as I decided to slap something together in the last hour before the challenge submission deadline. Okay .... for the benefit of those who were curious and for the the kind comments given, this is how I did it.....though poorly. I inserted a glow in the dark bracelet into my cordless drill and spun the darn thing at low speeds in various parts of the frame, or what I thought was the frame in a pitch black basement. The wine glass was taped at the base but seemed to have vibrated with the bracelet slapping around the inside, hence the blur. Crap. The wine glass was not centered because I could not figure where the center of the frame would be because it was ..... hmmmm .... really dark! Other than that, far too much fun and only a prelude to other shots which I hope will mystify future viewers. I'd really suggest others give this technique a try as it an artistically accesible side of photography that can yield amazing results.

Finally, the title. W seemed like a nice letter that day.

I'm done typing now. ;-)

my fav in the challenge and my highest score. I hope that doesn't mean a 5.8 score for you. :P Nice work with light, real interesting take on the challenge.

Crazy effect, if only the glass was pin sharp this would be amazing. I would have gotten rid of the border though and pumped up the highlights a bit more

Im not sure I'm completely sold on this image, but I can see great potential with your idea. I love the colors, and your exposure seems to be dead on.

This is a subject that works very well as a centered subject. Unfortunately, you're not centered perfectly, and you've lost some of that initial impact.

The border is also not doing anything for the photo. Perhaps if the border were a solid, sharp line. It looks like you may have used a fuzzy/feathered brush to create your border. As it is now, you've already got a lot of fuzzy elements. The sharpness would give the viewer's eyes something to hold on to, and would bring the sharpness of the glass throughout the photo. Again, adding more impact.

This is a creative effect. I think the glass needs to be much sharper for it to work, though.
