This is actually from a senior photo shoot of my friend Rebecca! This was one of the more "Serious" pictures, most of the others were of her being rather happy.

This was shot in downtown Eugene, Oregon. Only one strobe used, an SB-600 strobe camera left, the sun was the other light source on camera right. I had to get down to the ground so the roads behind Rebecca could not be shown.

Post processing: Straightened the photo by cropping, then reduced image dimensions for this web site. Then added border.

not bad. She looks uncomfrtable though and the sky is a bit bland. Perhaps if you sat the model right under the tree and shot her through those leaves so the leaves were all out of focus, but golden? If you had a golden reflector to help you add some warmth in there too it would probably have helped with the autumnal feel.

to much blow out and those leggings are not very flattering.

while the composition is straight thirds, the harsh lighting is taking away from your picture. Looks like you used some fill lights from the left a bit too strong.

This composition feels l little bit awkward as the main components are so far away from each other. maybe posing her closer to the tree would have helped. The lightinf looks great, it looks like you used some sort of fill flash.

I like the composition alot, with the single tree and its few remaining leaves, as though it's keeping watch.

Should have cropped the tree out. Good looking model.

nice composition here. the light is a bit harsh, maybe later in the day or earlier in the morning would have really made this nice concept pop.

focus on her next time.

The idea of this shot is actually quite moving.

I would say I'm not sold on the post processing, but I actually think shooting this at a different time of the day would help drastically. There's some pretty harsh light on her fare skin.

I might have cloned out the bush creeping in from the left next to the tree. Otherwise I really like the composition.
