Simple, stark, and very effective.

Nice texture and detail in the leaves. You are really good with color combinations and this is no exception. I think this photography is too easy for you now. :) Wonderful image.

Nice study on this leaf past its prime. You have found a really wonderful way of capturing the complexity of nature using a single leaf.

I remember voting on this one. I was pretty dissappointed with this challenge but this was one of the best shots. Good job Catherine.

I really like the back lighting, it looks like it got a little too bright in some of the brighter details in the leaf. It looks like you tried to bring them back through PP and it isn't noticeable on the firt pass. Maybe next time just play with the exposure more and look at your camera's histogram to not blow the highlights. 8

lighting on this is nice, although the shadow in the upper right seems out of place and doesn't add to the composition for me. some of the detail seems a bit washed out.

"her hardest hue to hold..." But frost was talking about her FIRST green, which I'm sure you know :-) Nice shot.

I really get a sense of a single light source here, it's given a good range of highlights and shadows. I love the subject matter too. I don't have a problem with centered compositions, but I'd love to see this with the negative space extended to the left. Well done, you're one of my top picks :)

Im seeing a dark navy blue background in your shot, I think a black blackground, or maybe even a dark textured wood would have worked better...
