This was the first thing that popped into my head when I read the challenge title. I have had this dog, Stanley, since Christmas of 1994. He was given to me by family friend who died less than three months later (he's named after her golden retriever). He may not be nearly as soft as he once was, and he may not have as much padding as he once did, but it's all because of the love over the years. Heh, I guess traveling all over the country can do that. ^_^

Natural light of the setting sun, cropped, sized, sharpened, and then tried to decide for border or not. Finally went without because having one made it too busy.

Would really liked to have seen more of the face/emotion of the person holding the doll. But nice "texture" image.

Nice show of emotional attachment, plus the contrast between human skin and fabric.

Interesting choice for texture. Nice idea.

Very well done.

Indistinct. Sure the focus is OK, but the lighting is dreadfully flat, there's almost no sense of depth at all, those small glimpses of the skin seem peculiarly toned, and those patches along with that blue stuff upset what is an apparently un-though-out composition anyway.

Cute and warm. I like it for don't know what reason... :)

I'm a sentimental softy, so I like this shot. I think it shows strong texture. I would maybe have composed it a ilttle differently but it's good as it is also.

bit snapshotty and looks quite clumsy. 5

Wonderfully original idea. To make this a bit better: the skin features are distracting - give me a bit more face and less hand OR no person and a closer up feel for the fur.
