I agree with you. I think there are textures everywhere and its more fun to mix and match within one picture and let the viewer discern which texture they want to focus on. Great shot.

That's a very amazing macro, I agree with your comment too looking for THINGS that make distinctive images in their own right and are highly textural visually I'm gonna try and aim at that direction too

The leaf texture- like an intricate tonal map- gorgeous !
