After dinner we were driving back towards town and decided to go in the general direction of the lake since it looked like some cool colors were developing in the sky, even though it was a bit after sunset. The cooling tower looked really neat so we went there and I got a few pictures. The power plant is coal-burning, even though the tower looks nook-uh-ler.

I originally went with 3 images HDR/tonemapped but it still wasn't very exciting. I started playing with photoshop filters and tried polar coordinates. Bingo! I had to work a bit to get the seam on the right look better but for my first effort it came out ok I think.

You always find the neatest filters. This picture makes me feel like I am looking up from the bottom of a deep, deep pit. Very cool effect and awesome colors, they really pop!

Sweet! Fun how everyone sees something else in this. Looks very futuristic to me. Love the clarity and the colors.
