 Below the Hem

First I would like to thank Cathie Marie owner of a boutique of the same name, on the deck Urangan Harbor, Hervey Bay. Queensland Australia, Cathie has allowed a number of shoots of her unique attire, Thank you Cathie.

After looking at a number of locations could not see a subject suitable for the challenge for my thinking until I saw this display in the boutique.

The beginning of the end of the body is from the knees down, with the shoes representing the end.

This is a well executed photo, with interesting lighting, colors, angles. The connection with the challenge theme, though, isn't obvious.

To me, the shoes seem to be the focal point, yet your title indicates that it's the dress. There's also that white arched area between the mannequin's legs that I find distracting. It's a very busy photo for me.

Oh, it's the end of the hemline! When I saw the shoes on display, i thought it was then end of her husbands bank balance. Nice photo. Good composition.

I'm having a hard time connecting to the challenge, and the colours seem a bit drab (except for the yellow dress).
