 My original idea (not terribly creative) was surf crashing against rock, with a title reflecting the "unending battle" or struggle or something like that. Then there was no surf this week. So the title here reflects the temporary "truce" in that battle we had this week. Probably too abstract and out of context, and not an amazing picture at that. Probably shouldn't enter... but I can't seem to help myself.

Practically no post processing (everything I could think of doing did nothing to improve it - a result of my limited post-processing skills at this point). Just cropped, sharpened, resized (and recropped, because of file size/compression issues) and resharpened.

Though this may be perfectly exposed, i find it a bit bright. Nice oftherwise..

This photo seems just a little bit soft to me. It needs a center of attention too.

The composition gives a great sense of yin yang. The water meeting the land. The diagonal cropping really helps to give this feeling. Also the contrast of the blacks on the land and the whiteness of the water foam helps.

This seems a bit oversharpened, the sparkles of the water stick out too much or something. I love the tones though.
