 back at the farm today. kind of a long story, but family obligations required my presence. the "farm" (which is actually farmed by someone else -- i don't know which end is up on a combine) is about 1.25 hours north of where i live.

i meant to take this shot last weekend but circumstances prevented my stopping by the side of the road.

it did, however, turn out almost exactly like i had pictured it.

the "thing" you see in front of the barn roof is a busted down old windmill. i would have cloned it out but, frankly, i'm too drunk.

note my fabulous composition that hides the giant starbucks sign behind the barn. yes. starbucks is about a .5 mile drive from the farm. this ain't yo gramma's farm. (it's my gramma's farm....ha ha.)

i'm goin' to bed.

really like the processing on this even if you're too drunk ... you should get drunk more often, or shouldnt i say that .. ?? . i'm sure you wont take my advice tho .. and i'm just being lame .. hava good sleep .. !!:)

Excellent shot, even better post. Good thing you were too drunk to clone the windmill, too. I like it there.

i like the processing. if i ever get the chance to learn to do brushes on photoshop, i will have to try this texture!

The photo is very awesome. I have been so drawn to these textured old looking photos. And since everything in the background is kind of impressionistic, I think the windmill very much needs to stay. It adds a nice punch of color.

Sweet Dreams. . .and may your head be ever so gentle to you in the morning.. .but keep the windmill even sober (just a suggestion) :)
