awesome shot man... that barren landscape looks most un-hospitable. The image makes me think of a space ship flying over an alien planet, which I imagine might not be too far from the truth of a soldier's experience out there.

Wow - 10th in a Free Study!!! Way to go! (And way to show me that just because we're stuck in a not-so-photo-friendly place, good pictures are still out there to be found.)

What a fabulous picture.

It took me a while to figure out what I was looking at as it was like looking into some sort of eye. But in a sense it is almost looking out of an 'eye' into a world beyond.

There's a whole dynamic tension here generated between the technology surrounding the viewer and the timeless face of the earth below. This could be a spacecraft taking pictures of Mars or any other distant arrid world.

This gives the viewer a portal to a quite different place.

Great shot - completely different.

8 - Unique, that's for sure. If not for the blue, could be over another planet. Minor, but my eye keeps looking at the symmetry. Really like that landscape color and formation.

Very cool view. Fisheye? C-130? Has more relief in it than I would expect from Iraq, though. Nice editing, too.

You have yourself one hell of a view there! I'd say it must be nice to have that kind of access, but at the same time, I get the feeling you might be military and not be home.

Anyway, great image here. My only nits are the obvious PS work which is evidenced by the "halo" around the upper doors (not sure what they really are so calling them doors).

Very nice perspective, use of wide angle and crisp. Reminds me of when I have flown over the Sahara desert. This has a nice dramatic feel to it for me. Good luck. 8
