 If this image deserves any credit then it all goes to Scalvert beacause this work was completely inspired by his image called Nightbulb.

I was pretty confused what to do with pencil? I tried many ideas but at last decided to work on this. I don't know how much it will be appreciated or criticized but I must admit that it was very hard work & even after that it's not even close to the original image.

Very nice. Love how the red really stands out. I wish the hands were in focus throughout -- the oof bottom right is a bit distracting.

Reminds me of using a Bic pen as a rocketship when I was bored in class. If the subject was "what is this pen?", THEN I would have had an entry for this one.

Still a pencil. You can point with your finger and it would still be your finger. Know what I mean? Just because you're using it to point, doesn't mean it's being communicated as anything other than a pencil. It's doing something, not being something.

See there, just to the left of the pencil tip, the navel of the man in the moon. Cool shot. I am hoping this moon is a screen shot on your computer and not your being too close to the moon.

I like the image overall, but I have trouble seeing the pencil as communicating itself as something other than a pencil like the challenge rules said.

Wow, the same cool, bookmark pencil!! So Halloween-like. I love your creative use of a pencil. Your composition and DOF are perfect, as is the wonderful lighting and detail. Plus,,,clean nails are a big plus! Very clever image. 8 from me.
