Your title seems to try and stretch this to fit the challenge - to me at least. I like your idea and the crazy pattern pencils add interest.

cute concept, not sure it totally fits how I understand the challenge but I'll give it to you. I do think the focus is off though and then it looks like you tried to over correct it in the post process.
