The background is hurting this picture (the shells don't "pop"), the shadows are really distracting, and the shells themselves are placed rather oddly. Can't tell what texture you are highlighting. The stuff on the bottom side of the greenish shell is distracting. As a whole, the image doesn't have all that much to say. Sorry, 1.

with just 2 shells it seems empty. Really like your choice of back drop and shadows are fab!

More depth of field would have helped. I like the shadows.

Nice composition ~ a break the standard rules type AOK by me.

Texture yes and great lighting just a pity the the pink shell is OOF but a nice idea even better perhaps with a tighter crop.

This picture would have earned an eight from me without the shells present.

The texture is here. The subject and composition lack interest to me.

The shadows aort of take away from the shells, maybe a tighter crop would help see the texture in shells better

Odd to have placed that green shell so centrally when this screams out for a thirds composition - especially as it's pushed the other shell to such a weak area of frame. If that's silk then it looks more like canvas. Reasonable go, though.

Nice simple composition, but I think the green shell is too centered.
