 Oh how I LOVE how personal zebras are. I went to our Wildlife Ranch today. It's a huge hundreds and hundreds of acres of Texas Hill Country land where all kinds of animals just roam free. These are captive animals that I think have the most wonderful life. They rome around free, they have tons of cameraderie. They eat like kings and queens, and as you can see. . . .they truly enjoy people :)

The zebras are prob'ly my favorites, because they seriously come up to your car window and will let you give them kisses on their nose. They are so sweet! Buttttt if you don't give them their treats quick enough. . .well. . .they'll tell ya about that too :)

While I adore the humor of the other shot, I love this one too because it is actually very sweet! I love the fuzzy whiskers in your face and the defocused eyes, this is great :-)

Looks like a cross between Tiger and Eyore. I could just cuddle up to that nose.

Baahaha!! I love the softness of the nose and all those whiskers sticking out. The POV is totally brilliant, Sandy!! I love this photo!!

The other one is a riot, too. Those are some teeth, huh?

HA HA HA! Totally awesome shot, with a perfect DOF. As I said in my comments on your last shot, you have such a way of capturing something that is so special in each animal that you photograph. You really have quite a gift for it, Sandy.

well i posted on this image and noticed you'd made a comment on one of my macros ... thats a shame you're not going in the macro .. check out the last macro challenge .. there's a very similar image of a close up of an animal, i looked a while ago and cant remember wot it was .. anyway ... you might think of entering something like this .. it seems that it is macro enough .. the close up of the animal either ended up on the front page or the second .. CHECK IT OUT !!!!! :)xx
ok .. i wrote all that and then had to go check it out for myself just in case i'd got it totally wrong .. hopefully this'll take you right there .moo by goodman

i love this sort'v image .. i actually took one of katee yesterday morning, same time as the one that pierced you with canine love and devotion !! but didnt put it in here coz i thought it showed her in a less than flattering light .. actually she looked more like the zebra with teeth than this one tho ..
if this you warming up for the macro i'm expecting another brilliant entry .. actually when i think about it i dont think i'v seen anything less than brilliant from you EVER !!! :)

Wonderful, wonderful shot. I can honestly say I've never seen a zebra shot like it.

I'm stunned by your story about kissing zebras. With those teeth? Not on your life! It's neat though to hear they are friendly.
