Good choice of subject. Might have been good to see more popped corn as it has a far more interestign and 'feely' texture than the unpopped. |

funny image, interesting... perhaps it seems lowsaturation. i know what color popcorn kernals are and these are not the right color... ... it seems like it is a bit grainy, like this was shot ina low light situation... but good idea.. and decent. |

Clever idea. I would have maybe used a polarizer to get rid of some of the little reflections on the corn. |

You definately have texture, but your lighting is not very imaginative. If you shined light in from a side angle, you would get much more depth, definition and ultimately more OOOMPH!

Good texture and composition, but lighting is flat. |

well done for adding the final corn, without that this would be quite dull.. |

Good lighting, though I think you are just a touch over-exposed on that bloom (it actually looks like a piece of paper screwed up). beyond that it's well poitioned within frame, and the texture of those seeds is well caught. The over-exposure loses you some level of detail and thus texture in the bloom itself, which is a shame as it is inevitably the main subject of this image. |

Oh, if you took this during the popping process, you are a brave photographer! If it were mine, I'd probably crop a bit tighter on that popped piece, but it isn't mine, it's yours. Good seeing and a good take on the Challenge. |

I see the texture, but the subject and composition just don't hold my interest. |

crisp colors - good addition of the popped one. |

Well executed shot that could possibly benefit from some sharpness (for my taste). Alas for me this a textbook shot of "pattern". Good luck. |
