cute, but lighting is kind of harsh - on board flash only? If more light sources were used, the onboard flash dominated

Cute photo but a little too soft to feel the texture, except perhaps the fine texture of the little darling's hair. She has very pretty hair color.

Too small animage, don't find the composition very pleasant, doesn't exhibit much quality of texture to me either. Poor, as an entry I fear - just a snapshot.

Your title says it all. To make this shot better I'd like to be closer to the faces to get a better sense of them. The small size of your shot hurts your focus on texture.
