Love the colors here and how they really stand out against the background. Shadows are a bit too harsh but they almost add another dimention to the image.

This is quite an attractive photo. I like the diagonal, and the way that motley background emphasizes the pretty colors.
However, the connection to the challenge topic is only marginal.

Great shot, sharp and DOF is bang on. However this doesn't really have a pencil as another object.

For me, while I like the vibrant colors of your image, it doesn't communicate the pencils as something other than a pencil as stated in the challenge rules. Sorry. :-|

Very vivid, my only distraction was from where the paint was scrapped off the light blue pencil. Perhaps turning it to get rid of this would have worked. Regardless, great simple shot! (9)

Colorful pencils. Love the uneven lengths and angles. Seems a bit hot on the lighting.

Are these pencils really something other than pencils? I don't see it. I like the design, and the color. The background is nice and simple as to not distract from the picture. This is a good composition, but I don't think it meets the challenge.
