 this is a photograph of a bee that i took yesterday .. i was just fiddling around waiting for some washing to finish in the washing machine and put this into photoshop .. the flower that the bee is on was totally burnt out and i'v deleted the RAW file .. i did an adjustment layer in levels and totally darkened the image and deleted it from everywhere except the flower .. it was a bit too smooth so i then wondered how a texture would go on it .. i brought in a close-up photograph of some rocks and did blending mode multiply at maybe 30% .. converted to b&w and brought down opacity and did blending mode multiply with that too .. shift/ctrl/alt+E flattens the image which i did .. did a bit'v lucisart .. then layer style inner shadow .. resized and saved for web ..

it looks interesting as a thumb, but totally loses it as a full size image .. i'll stick it in our slice of life coz its a slice of my life the photograph and the processing and the wondering if i should just delete it !! .. think it will be staying in my workshop folder tho .. i'll see wot the consensus is ..

Does look like the bee is emerging from the rock ...... I like it

This has a very surreal quality. Can't quite make out if the flower is part of the textured background or is part of the bee photo. The bee looks like he's hovering in mid-air over a tapestry of some kind. Love the subtle lighting.

It kinda looks like the bee is emerging from the wall, which is rather cool. The flower looks like it's part of that wall and the poor bee is trying to get pollen from it anyway.
