Good finish Chris! The focus on the eyes is really good and the composition really works. I think the only thing that could make this better is a little fix on the beaks blown out area.

Ooo, very cool capture. I like the background, as it really helps to define the hawk. Sadly, the top of it's nose is blown out. The lights in the eyes are nice; gives a sense of depth.

Great focus on the eyes, but his beak is OOF, still love the photo!

very appealing comp and excellent subject- does seem a bit narrow but still an 8.

I think the dof on the beak might have hurt this image a little. Still very well done!

Nice photo. Good details in the eyes. I would like to see the beak a little more in focus. Also the details at the crest of the beak are washed out and lost.

Something I've noticed with most bird shots is that either the eyes or the end of the beak are in sharp focus, not both. I've never shot birds but maybe a smaller aperture would help

Lovely shot! Is that a fence in the background causing the cross hatching?

What a glare he seems to be giving! I would have liked to see some more detail in his front, but that's nitpicking.

Gorgeous bird! Wish the focus was a little clearer all the way to the tip of the beak.

Creativity=1
Focus=0.5 (If you use a longer lense you can get more area focus, IE the eyes and the beak would both be in focus.

Contrast=1.5
Lighting=1
Comp=1

If only the beak portion had more detail , otherwise a very nice potrait.6
