This is a close up shot of a knead-able eraser I keep around for no reason at all. The setup was just a white piece of paper, with a desk lamp and my trusty LED flashlight, with the camera about an inch away. The image was first sharpened and then resized 50% to fit into a little 640x420 pixel box. It was then de-saturated, and the brightness and contrast were increased just slightly.

Oohhh is that a kneaded eraser. I remember those from my days as an art student. Nice exture, I like the fingerprint imprint. I wish the bottom was in focus too tho

A bit bright. Interesting way of getting additional texture (fingerprints).

Interesting concept. Kneaded more focus in front, though.

Like the gummy, rough texture you've got here. To make this shot better (imho) crop out the blurry foreground (as it doesn't add texture) and use a backdrop other than white to add depth to the crevises.

Maybe a little to over exposed. A little less light would've made this even better than it is.

I see texture, but I'm not sure what this is.

Well lit, but a touch chaotic - there isn't a real sense of somewhere for the eye to dwell: more like a scientific exposition of something than a exhibitable photograph.

I have no idea what it is, but I like it!
