 A monarch butterfly on a butterfly bush. Found this on my way from my voice lesson to my florist who I missed. Oh well....nice flowers though. You may see one or some.

Post: Convert from raw with a +0.33 exposure compensation in PSElements 3.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Healed a dust spot. Layer of curves adjustment. Masked the butterfly and the butterfly bush and applied NeatImage to the background. Selected inverse of the mask and sharpened the butterfly and bush. Crop. Resize. Sharpen.

Just like the last photo I veiwed. Nice job getting the full wing span in focus. That must take a fast shutter speed. 7

Beautiful colors and contrast with the flowers and Monarch butterfly. I like how the depth of field separates the main subject from the background. Good shot.
