I leave in the morning for a quick trip to Park City, Utah for a gathering of National Park Service Rangers.
I'm not a ranger, I just sell them their uniforms.

But today has been very busy with last minute prep and packing, so my creative side has taken a back seat for the day. My daughter graciously agreed to help me not miss a day and here is the result. This particular shot is her giving me "the look" as I tried to make her smile or do something goofy. I use d my ebay-special softbox (hence the square catchlights), but did not take the time to set up a back-light or a reflector. I think a little extra on her hair would have made this much better.

Still, it's a slice of life here at home (sort-of).

Nicole wanted a version with blue eyes in it, but I had already gone too far down Photoshop history after a bunch of dodging, burning and cloning (yeah, I know about layers...) and it was too late, so here is the alternate with a little blue.

You have a beautiful daughter. I like the lighting and how her hair frames her face on the right side.

Sadly, no. Her school required the students to go to their designated photographer. And since Nicole is a senior, she needed multiple shots for the year-book. We're out exactly $100, and we have only a book of proofs. If we want actual prints, we have to really dig deep.

I'm in the wrong business...

She's beautiful. With photos like this, she will most likely be a willing model for a long time! Yayyyyyy! :)
