Nesting on a Wattle branch overhanging our dam.

Editing very little really
Raw in CS2
Duplicate image to work on.
Smart Sharpen
Layer Hue/Saturation reduce sat -100
Layer Photo Filter (Underwater) 100%
Crop & rotate crop.
Convert to profile, 8 bit, resize, Save for web.

Oh yeah I know the branches are distracting but its kinda hard to find a better view and not disturb her unless i get wet! No it ain't gonna happen.

I was asked to put in an colour version, here it is but the crop is slightly different.

Beautiful shot...too bad you couldn't have moved the intruding branches, however.

the foreground branches are a distraction, tones are a little bit flat, the focus on the bird is very good

I like that there are OOF elements intersecting the subject. A unique and interesting resuly that I'm sure will polarize the dpc voters a bit.
