 This was another day where I waited until end of day to shoot something. I took the 70-200, put on the lens coupler, and attached the 50 mm prime.

The most difficult part of this was the very narrow DOF. I had to rest the two lenses on the box and then move the flowers and when I let go see what was in focus. It took probably an hour to get this.

The flowers were left over from a challenge a long time ago and dried on my basement floor.

This was a single exposure and processing was minimal.

I wasn't absolutely sure this was a flower, though on some level I guess I knew. Not to be too nutty about it, but it strikes me immediately that this combines touches of Georgia O'Keefe with Andres Serrano -- something about flowers and femininity and blood. Beautiful, and though probably not intentional, those couple of little dark spots grounds it. Bravo!

I love the softness of this picture. It always amazes me how you can take something that would be just ordinary and turn it into something that is outstanding. The curves lead you right up through the picture. Very nice capture!

Great shot with that zoom. I love narrow DOF. It has a soft abstract feel to it. Great rich reds.

beautiful colours and a delicate muted feeling .. love the abstract .. love the bits of detail .. a suggestion here .. a suggestion there .. excellent .. this image could be many things .. i see a sea creature, possibly a seal coming from the depths towards the surface .. heading towards the light .. :)
