My new college's library. Lots of nice crumbling Latin books.

An experiment with HDR in Photomatix, still learning the ropes.

Nice tones and lots of interesting lines. As others said, a bit tilty -- it would be interesting to do over and try to achieve perfect symmetry. Good job!

Maybe I'm warped, but in college (and even now) libraries were one of my favorite hang outs. I could get so much done there. Great shot and the bw works very well.

Actually this is just one RAW exposure - I still feel like a bit of a tourist here, so didnt have the guts to sit and take several as I suppose I should have done. Especially with quite long exposures (8s) and a loud shutter ;)

I like the effect of the HDR -- it makes it look like a photo but not quite. Interesting composition, too, with the leading lines framing the tables which are a leading line in themselves.

The b&w really works well for the photo because it makes it more uniform. The lines are great, leading your eyes toward the center of the photo. Nice job, especially since you're just experimeting! :)

Very well shot. I'd be curious to see it with the contrast bumped up a bit. But I may be wrong, it looks pretty good just like this.

Now, that works. Love the shapes, repetition texture and formal presentation.

I like the leading lines and how they pull my eye towards the background of the picture. It sure seems quiet and peaceful there.

I like the symmetry and all of the lines. What if you upped the black a bit??? Nice one.

Very cool perspective. I'd tilt it just a smidge to the right.

Awesome processing. I really like that it looks really cool but it doesn't look over processed. Tones are awesome as well as the perspective.

If they ever have a symmetry challenge, something like this would score really well. I like the symmetry of course, and the leading lines and columns are simply awesome.

It takes a bit of practice to get good at HDR & Photomatix and you're off to a good start. How many different exposures did you use?
