Taken on a day that was WAY too sunny for me. Cute family, but I know this picture is no where near the quality it should be. Oh well... only entering because I haven't entered anything in so long.

nice family portrait but it appears as if there is some jpeg artifacts in the image.

Nice family portrait. A flash to bring out better detail faces would be good.

I hope you mean white the last name and not the race. It lacks some focus

a nice portrait that would of benefitted with more light thrown onto the subjects. you have a very bright background here so using a reflector would of been a great idea here. 6

colors seem a little washed out but great pose

Nice shot.

Your subjects look a little out of focus tho. Maybe the focus is good, but my attention is drawn to the background instead of your subjects. Since the viewer's eyes are drawn to the most lit areas, your intended subject (the people) don't become the main focus.

Of course, if that was your intent (have the backgroud brighter than your subject), then please disregard.

Good luck.

Needs to be sharper.

Could use some fill flash to brighten up the faces.

Nice idea, it just seems a little out of focus.

Bonus points for actually being a portrait.

The fact that they sit back to the sun caused problem with the shadows on their faces. Besides very nice family portrait and the little guy's expression is just great :)

Good family group shot. Additional fill flash to light the subjects would help light the faces even more, they are a bit too shaded still for my tastes.
The expression on the little ones face is precious.

I like it. Nice intimite group composition and subtle blur in the background. Bit of a pitty that the background is so much lighter than your subjects, why did you put them in the shade? (6)

The colors seem a bit washed out for advanced editing. Good portrait.

The(your?) daughter is adorable, as is the rest of the family.

The contrast is nice and the colours are warm. It is a nice family shot I hope it does well here.

I'm sure this is a great family picture and the pose is good, but it has some shortcomings in exposure and sharpness as a challenge entry. It's hard to get a good exposure when the subject is in the shade and the background is in full sun.

A legtimate portrait but the lighting is really hurting this shot. I'd have used fill flash. Might work great in BW and an adjustment of channel mixer in monotone to lighten their faces. Not meaning to be harsh, but.....

Not enough light on the beautiful family and too much in the background.

A little more light on them would have been nice. It's a sweet shot.

I think your daughter is a budding model ... she looks like she is striking a pose for the camera with attitude lol Great family portrait but a little on the shady side and a slighty greater dof would help. The man is slightly blurred.

Wonderful image! A touch of fill light and this would be perfect. She is a little ham and is stealing the show.
