OK, so not everyone may be into forklifts... the guys I work with here spend a lot of time trying to keep these things up and running - it's not like you can run out and buy another one downtown - but despite their efforts, some of them die. This is where they go. I had this printed at 10x20 as my going-away gift to them. Probably won't translate well here at this size, but gotta say it looks pretty cool when you print it big.

Levels with blending mode set to overlay, crop, contrast +12, convert to B&W using CS3's "auto" setting, diffuse glow set at 4,7,9. Shot at 5:40 in the evening when the sun had just gone below the hill behind for the most part. Nice light that time of day.

Should have gone with this instead:

Wonderful down ridden industrial type shot. Love the composition and the title of the one forklift adds a nice tension to the photo.

I like this one as well. It looks like a dream lightning McQueen would have. (acording to my son)

Dude... If you're going to compete at suckage, LOW score wins, remember?

This is too small to really appreciate I think. The darks are lacking in detail in this small version. The range of darks and lights is too limited

Interesting processing with making the earth and trees look fuzzy.

Fascinating shot, and not that dissimilar in theme to a mechanical elephants graveyard as these squat solid things sit here with their two tusks out front, waiting for the poachers to come and strip them of their valuables.

Nice B&W, perhaps a little grainy.

Cool shot.

I prefer the left half of your image to the right. For me, the right hand side is very busy. I do like the use of black & white though.

Nice, desolate feel. It is a little hard to focus on any one of the forklifts though and I find my eyes constantly darting about, perhaps a little PP to bring out the one on the right. 6

I think this is an interesting image. It takes a little time to go through, but there's a lot to explore once you get started!

The right forklift needs to be a bit lighter to me. Otherwise, an interesting and good shot.
