the image i entered in the challenge is a different process of this black & white version which was in the sept black and white side challenge overnight .. i stuck it in my workshop folder when i opened it up in the morning coz i thought it was good enough to enter in the free study .. i was hoping it would get more than a 6 ...

thankyou to greg for giving me the idea for the title which i believe helped boost the score & thank you everyone for your encouragement & excellent comments ..
at last i got a 7!!!

the print is slightly different because i got the exact tones i used in the challenge entry after i'd resized it .. you cant really use a resized image for a print because it loses quality .. the print isnt quite as red ..

WOW!! Look at you, this is totally different to anything I've seen you shoot before. I stumbled upon this when I was looking at other pics in this fs, just in case you're wondering what on earth I'm commenting on this for lol.

And look how many ppl entered, ha! 503, what a drag that must've been to vote on, who on earth would've time to do that, esp if they had a slow internet.

And oh, the 29 faves! Imagine if you got that now!

Wow, what an atmosphere. Man made or natural, its real. I noticed a huge change in the pattern of weather here. Lots of humidity, even in December. Great shot, and a fiery, hellish sky.

Gee Roz, sorry it has taken me so long to comment on this magnificent shot

Huge congratulations on the 7ths place (in a free study!!!!!!!!) the new personal best and on breaking the 7 barrier for the first time

A brilliant image that almost blurs the line between photography, painting and CGI such is its power and intensity

The subject matter is magnificently disturbing, it looks like a scene from hell and the orange hue that you have included just intensifies the feeling of heat fire and almost a choking atmosphere

Brilliant!!!!!!!

This is my second post, since rollover, and I have just finished talking to Roz, to congratulate her on this entry, which is her personal best, and I am so very proud of her achevement, with this image.
I was looking at the image when speaking to her on the phone, and noticed something.

Do you see what I see.

I see a person face in the cloud of smoke, next to the tall black chimmey, near the centre of the image. It has two eyes, a round nose, and a mouth which is blowing out the golden/red firey flames. Can you see it also.....
A W E S O M E.......
