Positives: The lighting for this shot, IMHO, is about perfect. None of the white appears to be blown out, at all. The red and black for the backgrounds work very nice here as well. The shallow DOF is very well done as well.
Possible Improvements: From a technical perspective, the shot is right one. The only area of possible improvement is in the composition. Maybe remove the sugar dish on the left and slide the tea pot to the left so it is more on the 1/3 line and come at it from a slightly different angle.
