 I set the camera on auto, turned on a light on the left side of me, covered the lens with a used fabric softener, and snapped. I used picture it and added a bit of brightness and a bit of contrast to get this look. I think I did good for my first soft focus.

The noise of this image really distracts from the subject as does the lack of lighting.

The photo is grainy, out of focus and dark. The baby is cute. Wish the technicals were better.

Cute baby but I see lot of noise here with distracting background. The lighting can be better with nice composition.

Cute kid, I think the softness created here may be a little over done, to me it is so blurred it loses to much detail and makes the baby fade into the background, IMHO. Good luck in the challenge.

What a cutie!!!! Really suits the "soft focus" as a subject. The only thing that I could say on this one would be that the lighting, perhaps, could be a bit better, but then again.....try getting a shot like this and the opportunities. They don't come easily, do they? No time to fuss with lighting, I'm sure. I really like this one. Tugs at my heart strings.

Composition: Subject Placement, Cropping, Background good,
Technical: Focus, Exposure: too noisy appears over worked
Appeal:lovely soft colour, good focal point
