 Had a little time before I had to pick my daughter up from her friends house, so swung by the refinery to take some pics. Stopped on a public road and started shooting the stacks, and caught the attention of security, as usual, so I waved and continued what I was doing. Something different was up this day, though. Long story short ... had a visit from the local police when I got home, asking what I was doing and why I was taking pics and wanting to see them. It was a little freaky to be doing something totally legal and being questioned about it, until I found out why ... apparently some incident had happened the night before there -- they wouldn't say what -- but it was serious enough that someone out there taking pics the next day attracted more than the usual amount of attention.

Wow, that's quite a story to go with the image! I love the shapes, lines and the contrast here. Your composition is great -- those silhuetted stacks really add balance.

I love the shapes and the "clean" lines in this. Makes for a very interesting composition. The dark stacks really add balance. Interesting story too!

Wow! Scary story, nice shot. Love the clouds / smoke and the sky. Silhouetting the stacks is a nice touch.
