 One of four images in this series of the Washington, DC Metro. I think it's interesting to compare and contrast them.

For this experiment, I held the camera more or less with the lens pointing horizontally, then spun it keeping the lens pointed in the same direction.

Again, the purple and green clothes of the people in front of me are apparent, as they are in the other shots.

Here are three different experiments in taking a blurred shot of this scene. The first also involves turning the camera, but yielded quite different results:
