Another experiment. This time, I opened the shutter, then held my hand over it while moving the camera, removed my hand, and repeated one more time before the shutter closed.

I'm not sure this one works.

Jeffrey awesome image, all the more so b/c you had your hand over the lens? i cannot envision this, and I am sitting here trying! the results are fabulous, i can feel the sway of the train as folks make their way home after a long day, or perhaps on their way to one. great you carry your camera with you at all times!

HEE HEE - I can hear the sound of the brakes (I guess they make noises - I've never ridden on a subway). I love motion blur and all of the faces/colors really make it interesting.

Thanks for the notes on this. I'm surprised the "background" is as sharp as it is if you hand-held this at 2s. Good work! I love those people reading in the background. Those colors on the left are really great. Amazing capture.
