 This is part of the last wild herd of ponies in the mountains of Virginia. The only other wild ponies are on Assoteague & Chincoteague Islands in the Chesapeake Bay. Went on a hiking/camping trip from Elk Garden to Mt Rogers (the highest peak in VA) and then down to Grayson State Park in SW VA.

Created HDR & tone mapped from single RAW file. Additional PP included: crop, levels, curves, LucisArt, dodge/burn, gaussian blur, color sat, NI, resize, sharpen, save for Web.

I really like the colours here, with the horses sympathetically blending in with the bracken - and the great backdrop. Not sure about the pp - but a lovely shot overall.

Lovely image. Great blend of colors and creatures. The blurring action all around gives a pleasant glow that suits the image well. Very nice.

I love the misty quality of this and the rich colors. The unexpected nature of finding horses on a mountain top adds to the interest.
