This is such a great shot. There's so much to admire about it. Love the gradual work to the backlit tress, the glassy reflection, the sky. I think there is what looks like an unintentionally halo over the center tree that a bit og burning could easily correct, if that is actually the case.

Pretty shot to kick off the side challenge with.

Nice work. Normally, I am not a fan of HDR, but it works very well in this capture to really show the details.

Almost looks like I want to have this hanging on my wall. But I'm also thinking that it may be over sharpened. Whats the deal with the halo's around the tree??? Is it the sun setting, or the editing that caused it?

Not completely convinced by the haloing around the central tree, but then again I'm not convinced it would look better without it. That aside, I think you have taken a potentially mundane shot and turned it into something quite stunning. Fantastic work.

Very nice. High contrast always tends to catch my eye, and this is no exception. I don't know why you tonemapped this, but that's your choice.

Very kewl shot. I'm actually OK with the halo, it adds to the surreal feel of the shot. (I'm sorry, HDR just doesn't look natural to me so a little bit more 'fakeness' is totally OK.) I really dig this photo, good work!
