"The swirl in the water apparently marks the place where the long-suffering hound has just drowned his nominal master. And now he flees the scene, grinning maniacally. Free at last!
But wait ... he has neglected to eradicate the forensic evidence. A small fragment of the late master's high-visibility hernia truss lies in clear view on the sand; a potentially damning clue.
The question is, will the police make the connection? Is the hound pound bound?"

I love your whole dog series. Each is stunning. Truely, you are an artist. Ignore all the stupid comments.

Too much sand in the forefront makes it difficult to see the dog.

The red garbage in the foreground grabs my attention much faster than the dog in the background does. If you removed that from the picture I think it would be a much stronger image (too bad this is a basic editing competition).

i like the composition. i would like to see more contrast for the dog... i like the red object, but i don't know what it is... maybe you could recreate this scene, but use an object that's more recognizable... just a thought.

This is a cute photo (I think). Hard to tell much about the dog. Does he/she have any "clothes" on at all? Too far away to tell for sure. Is there a connection between the dog and the red object on the sand, or is that an incidental item?

Compositionally you've followed some good rules with using ROT on the beach and water line, and the red object in the lower left.

Would I think 'Speed' just looking at this photo without a title? Maybe. With the title it's even more confusing what the storyline of this photo is.

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious. Will be returning after the challenge to see if some of the questions are answered, and to see what others had to say about this as will. Should be a good read. :P

At any rate, good luck in the challenge.

I think the dog is too far away. My eyes saw the red shirt on the sand first, I almost didn't even see the dog.

Good composition. I really like the red spot - it makes the composition complete.

Too much negative space for my taste.

I like the minimalism. that little pop of red - hmmm I can't decide if it's distracting or not.
