Of course I love this photo. He is my son after all! He is full of smiles but occasionally puts out a bored look. Shot under a covered porch with the black side of reflector at camera right to create a little shadowing on his face.

Only time will tell how well he holds up against the macros of bugs and flowers. ;) I love the picture regardless but i'll go on record and predict a 6.35 and a top 20% placing.

Excellent. This is a beautiful shot. Your son has gorgeous, expressive eyes. He's going to break a lot of hearts one of these days.
I did a portrait shot of my step-daughter recently and got a comment from LevT saying he would have taken more off the top. After holding my hand over the top of the picture I saw he was right. The shot was more balanced. I got this feeling when I held my hand over the top of your image. Hope you don't mind me telling you this, I'm certainly no expert.

You've done a very good job of the high-key image without losing skin detail. The green shirt doesn't work for me, but the rest is nice.
